REMINDER: CANADA'S WONDERLAND

ALL CADETS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING "CADET DAY @ CANADA'S WONDERLAND" SATURDAY 8 JUNE 2013 MUST HAVE THEIR PAYMENT IN NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY 22 MAY 2013.

COST:

$25 - Cadets who participated in Tag Day(s) (10-11 May).
$50 - Cadets who did not participate in Tag Day(s) (10-11 May).

* Cost includes transportation, admission, and all-you-can-eat dinner.
** Does not include lunch.

TIMINGS:

0800 - Bus departs for Canada's Wonderland
1000 - Estimated time of arrival at Wonderland
1300 - Lunch (cadet supplies own)
1730 - Dinner (all-you-can-eat)
2000 - Bus departs Wonderland
2200 - Estimated time of arrival at Belleville Armoury

KIT LIST & INFO:

A Kit List and parental information sheet will be released at a later date.

PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE PARADING WEDNESDAY 15 MAY.

INSTEAD, CADETS WILL BE ATTENDING THE SUNSET CEREMONY AT THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE OF CANADA (RMC) IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO ON THURSDAY 16 MAY.
*CADETS MUST HAVE SIGNED UP*

Bus Departs Belleville Armoury at 1705 hrs (5:05 PM)
Bus Returns to Belleville Armoury at 2130 hrs (9:30 PM)

Cadets are to wear C-2 (Winter) Dress and Cadet Parka

CLUBS/TEAMS

Any Cadets interested in participating in a squadron Athletic Demonsration Team are asked to be at the Armoury between 1800 hrs (6:00 PM) and 2100 hrs (9:00 PM). The Team will be putting on a fitness presentation for our Annual Ceremonial Review. Approximately 10+ cadets are needed.
Please arrive in Appropriate Sports Gear.

TAG DAY(S)

Our Squadron will be conducting its spring Tag Day(s) in the evening of Friday 10 May, as well as a morning and afternoon shift Saturday 11 May 2013.

Tag Day is a MANDATORY event for ALL cadets.

Like many other cadet corps/squadrons, Tag Day is our squadron's primary fundraiser. All money collected goes back to the squadron and is used to fund items such as trips (ie. March Break), special events (ie. Bowling night, BBQ night, etc.) and more.

CADETS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE (1) SHIFT:

Friday 10 May: 1700 hrs - 2100 hrs (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
Saturday 11 May: 0900 hrs - 1300 hrs (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
Saturday 11 May: 1300 hrs - 1700 hrs (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

* If a cadet signs up for both Saturday shifts, lunch will be provided.

IF A CADET DID NOT SIGN-UP FOR A SHIFT, THEY MUST EMAIL CAPT DIXON ([email protected]) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH:

THEIR CHOICE OF SHIFT(S), OR
THEIR REASON FOR NOT ATTENDING

* Cadets who do not attend could be denied future training possibilities (ex. Summer Training, Field Training Exercise, trips, etc.).

WEEKEND UPDATE (27-28 APRIL 2013)

SATURDAY 27 APRIL 2013

Drill Team Practice - 1000 hrs - 1300 hrs (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM). Come in civilian clothing, bring complete uniform on hanger(s).

Gliding - 1200 hrs - 1600 hrs (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM). Cadets MUST bring their Health Card. Open only to cadets who signed up.

SUNDAY 28 APRIL 2013

Drill Competition - Cadets on the drill team must arrive at the Trenton Arena (Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens) for 0830 hrs (8:30 AM) in C-2 (Winter) Dress.

Inspection at 0900 hrs (9:00 AM)
Competition Time at 0925 hrs (9:25 AM)
Awards Ceremony at 1400 hrs (2:00 PM)

Cadets who stay for the day will receive lunch at the Yukon Galley.

NO CADETS TONIGHT

There will be a staff member present 5:30-7:00 to accept the permission/registration forms and payment
for the trip to Montreal.
The forms will be sent to Montreal tomorrow so they must be in tonight.

The stubs from the OPC Tickets are due.
They may be brought in Friday night between 5pm and 8pm.
