CADET CERTIFICATE OF COMMENDATION
CRITERIA:
The Cadet Certificate of Commendation may be awarded to a cadet for outstanding deeds in attempting to save the life or property of another person.

PLACEMENT:
- The Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin shall be worn centred on the right breast pocket, equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the pocket flap.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
CRITERIA:
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Young Canadians Challenge is a challenge from His Royal Highness Prince Philip to young people between the ages of 14 and 25 to reach for their best and qualify for three separate awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) through award activities arranged in four separate sections; Services, Expeditions and explorations, Skills, and Physical recreations. MARKSMANSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
CRITERIA:
The Bronze, Silver, and Gold pins are awarded to all cadet participants for each level of the competition, Zone (Bronze), Provincial (Silver) and National (Gold) in the Marksmanship Championship Series.
The Vamplew Award and Clément Tremblay Award pins are awarded to the Top Marksman at the National Marksmanship Championship, the top cadet in the open category receives the Vamplew Award and the top cadet in the junior category receives the Clément Tremblay Award.
The Bronze, Silver, and Gold pins are awarded to all cadet participants for each level of the competition, Zone (Bronze), Provincial (Silver) and National (Gold) in the Marksmanship Championship Series.

BIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
CRITERIA:

The Myriam Bédard Award, Jean-Philippe Le Guellec Award and Nikki Keddie Award pins are awarded to the top male and female bi-athletes at the National Biathlon Championship, the top Youths (17 and 18 years old) receive the Myriam Bédard Award, the top Seniors (15 and 16 years old) receive the Jean-Philippe Le Guellec Award and the top Juniors (12 to 14 years old) receive the Nikki Keddie Award.

AIR CADET LEAGUE EFFECTIVE SPEAKING COMPETITION
CRITERIA:
Only the winners for each level of the competition, Zone (Bronze), Provincial (Silver) and National (Gold), shall be authorized to wear the awarded pin.

- Only one Effective Speaking Competition Pin is permitted on the uniform indicating the highest level attained by the cadet
- This pin is worn on the jacket only

PLACEMENT NOTES
- When a Duke of Edinburgh Award Pin is worn with the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin, the two pins shall be worn centred on the right breast pocket equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the jacket pocket flap, with 0.5 cm between the two pins. In this case, the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin shall be worn in the top position. Only the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin can be worn on the shirt.
- When a Canadian Cadet Movement Marksmanship Championship Series Pin is worn with a Canadian Cadet Movement Biathlon Championship Series Pin or an Air Cadet League of Canada Effective Speaking Competition Pin, the two pins shall be worn centred on the left breast pocket equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the jacket pocket flap, with 0.5 cm between the two pins. The Canadian Cadet Movement Marksmanship Championship Series Pin shall be worn in the top position, if worn with the Canadian Cadet Movement Biathlon Championship Series Pin, or in the bottom position if worn with the Air Cadet League of Canada Effective Speaking Competition Pin.
- If a cadet is the recipient of an Air Cadet League of Canada Effective Speaking Competition Pin, a Canadian Cadet Movement Marksmanship Championship Series Pin and also a Canadian Cadet Movement Biathlon Championship Series Pin, this cadet shall be authorized to wear two out of the three pins awarded as the cadet uniform can only accommodate two pins. In this case, the cadet must make the decision as to which two pins he shall wear on his uniform.
