For adults that wish to enrol, you can become a Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) officer. CIC consists of specially trained part-time members of the Canadian Armed Forces. CIC officers are responsible for cadet training, supervision and administration.
CIC officers are important figures in the life of a cadet. They are driven by a strong desire to see cadets grow into responsible adults and they provide credible role models for youth looking for a sense of direction and belonging. Many CIC officers were once cadets themselves, but having been a cadet is not a prerequisite! The Cadet Instructors Cadre is one of the most diversified and active components of the Canadian Armed Forces. CIC officers are highly committed and experienced individuals such as nurses, teachers and lawyers who use their backgrounds in support of cadet training objectives. |
