CO's PARADE and more!

  • TRAINING
Wednesday 4 April 2012 is a CO's PARADE and "ANNUAL" PRACTICE!!!
All Cadets will be in C-2 Dress!
Cadets will wear their uniform properly.
Cadets MUST do their uniform. That means; clean, iron pants and shirt, polish boots, etc.
- Cadets Should do all parts of their uniform in case dress is changed to C-2B (Summer Dress)
Cadets will follow proper Dress Standards (see CATOs; 55-04, 55-04 Anx-A, and 55-04 Anx-F)

A sign-up sheet has been posted for our Gliding Day on Sunday 15 April.
*If you plan on attending the Vimy Remembrance Ceremony as well,  sign up to go gliding in the morning.*
  • CLUBS/TEAMS
BAND - Friday 30 March from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

DRILL TEAM - Friday 30 March from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM - ATTENDANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

*NEW* - MODEL CLUB - Begins Monday 2 April starting at 7:00 PM. The Squadron has recently purchased a variety model air craft ranging in sizes and types. Any Cadets who are interested in taking part in this are more than welcome to join. Cadets will have the opportunity to socialize with other cadets who enjoy this hobby, learn about the air craft they are building, and be creative all while having fun! Once the models have been completed, they will be displayed during our Annual Ceremonial Review for all to admire!

Our squadron's Trip To Hamilton was featured in the 23 March 2012 issue of "The Contact" newspaper.

Also, we would like to welcome back WO1 [Ret'd] Adam Kurkoski as our newest Civilian Volunteer (CV). CV Kurkoski will be working as our Squadron's Website Administrator, Assistant Supply Officer, and Photographer.

A warm welcome is also due to Capt Sutherland of the CF who is volunteering his time to work with our cadets. He has been, and will continue to be, a great asset!

  • TRAINING
Tonight will be a SPORTS night!!

Please, dress appropriately! That means, NO jeans, NO hoodies/sweaters, ONLY activewear shorts/pants, activewear shirt (T-Shirt), and running shoes (no flip flops, sandals, flats, etc.) Also, NO inappropriate grapics/sayings on clothing.

If these requirements cannot be met, cadet issued PT gear will be given.

This Wednesday, we are back to Regular Training.

Our Squadron's 57th Annual Ceremonial Review is quickly approaching (Saturday 26 May 2012).

In order to better prepare, cadets will be practicing their drill. Cadets are also asked to review the content on the 608 Basic Information For New Recruits sheet.

The TRIP TO HAMILTON will be held Monday 12 March - Tuesday 13 March. Click HERE for more information.
Cadets should arrive in C-2 Dress (Full/Winter Dress) when dropped off.

Saturday 10 March 2012 is the Zone Range Competition! Cadets should be dropped off at the Gymnasium located on Dakota St. on the South-Side of 8 Wing/CFB Trenton No Later Than 0800hrs (8:00 AM). The dress for this event is Casual Civilian Clothing (Appropriate; ex. no holes/tares and/or crude images/words)
The Cadets participating in the Zone Comp are FSgt Fraser, Sgt Russel, FCpl Mackinnon, FCpl Parcels, and Cpl Bone.

A Countdown Clock has been posted to the Home page indicating the time remaining to our squadron's 57th Annual Ceremonial Review.
