• TRAINING

Wednesday 28 November will be a Regular Training night. 

1. Dress of the night is C-2 (Winter) Dress.
2. Any Cadets who signed up for the range team, are asked to be at the armouries this Wednesday (28 Nov) for 1630hrs  (4:30 PM) in civilian clothes; however, you must bring your uniform with you.

Any cadets who are still waiting for any uniform parts, please be patient as the parts are on order and should arrive soon!

• ADMINISTRATION

REMINDER: Every Training Night is MANDATORY attendance. If a cadet cannot attend, for a valid reason, the cadet MUST follow the instructions on the Attendance Notification page.

There are still some cadets who need to hand in their completed Annual Verification Forms. If this form is not handed in, cadets cannot attend extra cadet activities!

• OTHER

   1.   OPC TICKETS.
The Air Cadet League - Ontario Provincial Committee has issued our annual lottery tickets. Our squadron has many books of these tickets which MUST be sold. We are asking each cadet to pay for 1 book of tickets ($50.00) upfront. The cadet then sells the tickets to friends and family, making back the $50.00. Once sold, the completed ticket stubs are then returned to the Squadron. Please pick up your book as soon as possible either from CV Vincent or Capt Dixon!

   2.   DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
Any Cadets who are interested in participating in the internationally acclaimed Duke of Edinburgh Award are asked to contact Capt Dixon. Cadets must be at least 14 years old and pay a $30 fee to participate.

In accordance with the course training plan and mandatory and complimentary training requirements, 608 will conduct a fall leadership exercise to fulfil training requirements.

• The Leadership Weekend will be held at TACSTC, located on the south side of 8 Wing Trenton (see map), from Saturday 17 November to Sunday 18 November. 
• Cadets and staff will be sleeping in the barracks Saturday night. 
• Cadets are to be dropped off at TACSTC by their parents at 0900hrs (9:00 AM) Saturday morning.
• Cadets are asked to bring $5 (payable at drop-off) to contribute to a pizza party.
• Cadets will be picked up from the RecPlex swimming pool on RCAF road Sunday afternoon at 1530hrs (3:30 PM).
• Cadet’s gear will be transported from TACSTC to the RecPlex swimming pool in staff vehicles.

ALL cadets are reminded that the Grey Wool Socks issued with the uniform are a part of the uniform, and are to be worn with the uniform! Should a cadet find the socks too itchy to wear, they can wear white socks underneath the grey wool socks. If cadets are allergic to the wool socks, they may wear black socks. The only colour sock that should be visible is Grey (issued wool), or Black. Spot checks will be conducted to ensure proper dress policies are being followed.
