Wednesday 25 September will be a Sports Night.
Any cadets with uniform issues must see the supply officer as soon as possible. 
PLEASE NOTE: For better ease of access, we will be shutting down our Shutterfly media gallery site (608dukes.shutterfly.com) and begin using only our Facebook site (facebook.com/608RCACS) to post future media. The Shutterfly site will be deleted 30 September 2013. In the meantime, we encourage you to save any media you would like to keep on to your personal computers. Unfortunately, the media from the Shutterfly website will not be moved to our Facebook site. And Don't Forget: 
Saturday 14 September 2013 is our FIRST GLIDING DAY!!!!
Cadets must have signed up this Wednesday (11 Sept) to attend. Gliding will take place at CFD Mountain View in Prince Edward County just off of Highway 62 (Click here for map). Parents are responsible for transportation of their cadet. Parents are welcome to stay for the day. You may wish to bring a lawn chair and camera! CADETS MUST HAVE THEIR HEALTH CARDS IN THEIR POSSESSION AT ALL TIMES FOR ALL CADET ACTIVITIES INCLUDING WEDNESDAY PARADE NIGHTS!!! *Gliding is mandatory for all cadets in order to successfully complete their annual training requirements. A minimum of 1 glider familiarization flight per training year is required. Cadets who are not able to Glide this Fall will have another opportunity in the Spring.
Wednesday 11 September will be Regular Training.
* Instructors: A complete 2013-2014 training schedule can be found in the office on the "Training" board as well as HERE.
SIZING FOR NEW UNIFORM PARTS WILL TAKE PLACE 11 SEPTEMBER. PLEASE SEE THE SUPPLY OFFICER IF YOU NEED TO BE SIZED! If you have any uniform parts that no longer fit, bring them in to exchange with the supply officer (OCdt Kurkoski) as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend wearing black pants and a white shirt (preferably with a collar) to maintain a professional look.
We will also be recruiting during the month of September. If you know any youth between the ages of 12 and 18, encourage them to join! |
