This weekend (1 - 2 October) is the Ameliasburgh Fair. We will be with 851 Squadron from Picton to promote Air Cadets. There will be some displays including; shelters, aircraft, and more. We will also be selling OPC Lottery Tickets. Cadets who signed up can wear one of the following outfits:
> C-2B Dress (see CATO 55-04_Annex-A) (Ranks Allowed) > Personal Combats (Ranks Allowed), OR > Personal Flight Suit (Ranks Allowed) Please show up for the time you signed for. If signed for the morning shift, you are alllowed to stay at the fair for the rest of the day without having to pay admission. And Vice-Versa for the afternoon shift. **Click the link for Directions to Ameliasburgh Fair Grounds. The website will be using a new Google Calendar. This calendar can hold more information about events and is more user-friendly!
TRAINING UPDATES:
> This Wednesday (28 September) is Regular Training. > 5 October is a sports night and we have a special guest. PLEASE BRING A LARGE TOWEL FOR THIS ACTIVITY. > 12 October Is A COs Parade (C-1 UNIFORM [see CATO 55-04_Annex-A Numbered Orders of Dress])as well as Camp Presentations. Many of our Cadets who attended Summer Training Centers will share their experiences. **YOU MAY BRING ITEMS FOR 'SHOW AND TELL'** > Range (Sundays) and Band (Friday evenings) will begin soon. > THE LEADERSHIP WEEKEND has been tentatively rescheduled to Saturday/Sunday 22/23 October... pending approval from our Detachment. > The original dates were cancelled due to an 8 WING CFB Trenton Base-wide power outage scheduled for 1/2 October. > This weekend Oct 1/2 we will have an opportunity to attend the Ameliasburg Fair to promote AIR CADETS with 851 Sqn from Picton. > Cadets may sign up for a 3 hour shift Saturday or Sunday. > Personal Combats may be worn as we want to build shelters to show our Field Training. > Flight suits may also be worn to show the Pilot side of the Cadet Program. > SIGN UP SHEETS WILL BE POSTED ON THE BOARD THIS WEDNESDAY. > Parents are needed to drive during our TAG DAYS (Evening of Friday, 14 October AND Day of Saturday, 15 October) > Please Email Capt Dixon if you are able to help ADMIN UPDATES: > Please return all completed paperwork to CI C. Haigh in the office. SUPPLY UPDATE: > Sports night is a good night to exchange clean, outgrown uniform parts! We hope everyone who attended our "Gliding" Day enjoyed themselves.

Sgt Allen and Sgt West proudly carried flags at the Battle of Britain Parade in Trenton on 18 October, and Sgt Allen carried our Squadron Banner in the Ad Astra Stone Dedication Ceremony on 24 October.
