OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: CONSTRUCT A BIVOUAC SITE IN MINECRAFT

THIS IS A COMPLETELY OPTIONAL CHALLENGE FOR CADETS THAT ARE INTERESTED IN MINECRAFT. CADETS ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE AND PARTICIPATE.

MINECRAFT SERVER INFORMATION

A Minecraft Bedrock Edition server has been create for the cadets and staff of 608. This allows cross platform play in between Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. The current difficulty and game mode and is: Peaceful Survival.

CONSTRUCT A BIVOUAC SITE

Cadet are to construct a bivouac site that include the following areas:

Sleeping area (male/female/HQ)
- 1 bed per cadet.
- 1 chest per cadet.
- Sign on entry with screen name, rank and name.
Mess/Eating Area
- Kitchen area for meal preparation.
- To accommodate at least 50 personnel.
Food Hang
- Alternative: tent with food storage and cooking.
POL Point
- Petroleum, oil, lubricant point.
- Away from fire, eating, storage, cooking, and bodies of water.
- Will be storage for coal and other fuel.
Garbage Point
- With working trash can.
HQ/First Aid
Latrine
- Construct at least 100 blocks away from bivouac site, downwind and not close to the water source.
Vehicle Park
- To include a safety vehicle.
Wash-up Site
- Source of water.
Fire Pit and Fire Point
- Must be 100 blocks away from the bivouac encampment and strictly in an open area.
- Fire point to include water buckets, shovels, and any additional tools likely to be used in case of emergency. It is recommended to put them in a central point, away from the POL point.
Quarter Master's Tent (supply tent)
- Tool rack/storage constructed near or inside.
Form-up area
- Big enough to host at least 50 personnel.

Cadets are not to start individual projects until the bivouac site is complete with the only exception of mining for resources.
