General Training Graduation Parade Info

Graduation Parade Details

As many of you know, we will be celebrating the achievements of our youngest cadets as they graduate from the General Training Course Friday, July 17 at 9:30 in the morning. Here are some details you will need to know if you are attending the parade and/or planning to bring your cadet home with you from the Training Centre.

Due to extensive construction, there will be lane restrictions on parts Old Highway 2. The dark orange area on the road is down to 1 lane each way. This same construction has caused the Main Entrance of the base to be closed (Red Rectangle). 2 gates will be open for entry (green arrows pointing into the base), while only one of those gates may be used to exit the base (green arrows pointing onto the highway).

Once on the base, there are many parking lots (P’s throughout) but, as it is a work day for everyone else on the base, finding a parking spot in these lots may be hard to come by. One parking lot (purple P) is dedicated to the Training Centre, and may have more, overall, parking spots. Please respect that the maximum speed limit on the base is 30Km/hr!

The Graduation Parade will take place on the Parade Square (Blue Rectangle).

Family members wishing to take their cadet home following the parade will have to wait until after the cadets have marched back to the Training Centre (defined by purple outline rectangle). Families will need to proceed to the Training Centre then show valid, government-issued ID and be entered into our database as authorized to take the cadet. Please note: personal vehicles are not permitted the Training Centre. Please park in the Training Centre parking lot (P), and then walk in.
